CopyrightX Caribbean is facilitated by two Caribbean professionals with specialised expertise and experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law.
Sarah Hsia
Sarah Hsia is an Entertainment and Intellectual Property Attorney based in Kingston, Jamaica. She practices law in both New York and Jamaica, and has a wealth of experience in IP matters. She has represented several iconic Jamaican artists and producers in matters relating to copyright, licensing and distribution agreements, and a wide range of entertainment law issues. Sarah is a graduate of Harvard Law School, and was the first facilitator for a foreign affiliate course within the CopyrightX network (Copyright X Jamaica, 2013). She is currently an attorney-at-law at Rockstone Legal (Kingston).
Dr. Bryan Khan
Bryan is an Intellectual Property expert, based in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He is the Assistant Director of the Master of Law programme in Intellectual Property at the University of Turin, co-organised by the World Intellectual Property Organisation. He holds an LLM in IP Law from the University of Turin, and a PhD in Law and Economics from the University of Rotterdam. His research focuses on policy issues in copyright and related rights, and economic development. Bryan is also a musician with substantial first-hand experience as a music writer, producer, and performer.
